FAQ

WHAT DOES VINTAGE MEAN?
At societywild, we have three factors which determine whether we classify an item as vintage.
  • AGE // the first, and most obvious factor, that determines whether a product is classified is vintage is the age of a product - if it comes from an earlier generation, it's vintage.
  • STYLE // more modern items that we term vintage are classified as so due to their shape or cut which draws on a style or shape from previous eras.
  • PRELOVED // lastly, items that have previously been loved by someone else but are now on the lookout for  a new home will also fall under vintage.

WHAT AM I GETTING WHEN I BUY VINTAGE?
Currently, the only vintage items we carry include;
  • Harley Davidson tees
  • Band Tees
  • Levi Cut Off Shorts (men's and women's)
  • Levi Jeans
  • Denim Jackets
  • Leather Motorcycle Jackets
Every single vintage item we stock is unique, and in the case of our Harley Davidson, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone with the EXCAT same tee as you - our vintage pieces give you something that is unique to your wardrobe.
IF YOUR BOOT BUCKLES AND CHAINS ARE HAND CRAFTED AND USE AUSTRALIAN SOURCED MATERIALS, HOW ARE THEY SO CHEAP?
SHORT ANSWER - small profit margin and keeping them accessible.
LONG ANSWER - we wanted to enter the market with our first collection at a price point that could allow almost anyone to buy a piece. The whole point of the boot buckle and chain concept was to allow you to have 'cool' and 'awesome' shoes without the price tag.
The only way for us to do this meant keeping the amount of $$$ we took home to a minimum - in complete transparency, the WILDR collection will make us just enough money to invest in either producing more pieces of the current styles and/or go towards creating the next collection; we also chose to not factor in the actual time it took us to create the pieces when pricing them.
SO WILL ALL FUTURE COLLECTION BE THE SAME PRICE? - the answer, maybe not. We want to be able to continue to create new and innovate designs for our customers and to do that we need money for materials, tools and also to compensate the time we put in behind the scenes each day to create these pieces.
We will always endeavour to try and have at least one lower priced item to continue to keep our products accessible, but if our prices do rise in future collections, always know it's to make sure we can keep doing what we love to do.
